As the Church is the ‘pillar and support of the truth,’ what it teaches matters. Dr. John opens 1 Timothy 4:1-5 to alert God’s people to false teachers. Paul says in verse 10 that Jesus is the “Saviour of all people, especially of those who believe.” What does that mean? Dr. John will unpack the truth of Paul’s words and point to the error of “universalism.” It is both a needed caution and gospel motivation for the Church.
