Adam Fulfilled in Jesus

Today we go to the beginning. Adam is the father of us all. We came from him and we are like him. Our sin is rooted in the first transgression. Since we share his fallen humanity, we cannot escape or undo what has been done. We need to be rescued. Jesus has fixed what Adam has broken. He is our “second Adam.” Listen to the gifts Jesus brings and holds before you today.

    David Fulfilled in Jesus

    The life of David is an account of a boy who was taken from the sheep fields to Israel’s throne. He was God’s anointed. But there is a greater throne, an eternal one. Dr. John reminds us at this Christmas season, that Jesus’ birth was announced among the sheep fields and He is now risen to a heavenly throne. Jesus is God’s Anointed for time and eternity. Listen and let the story of David reveal Jesus in a greater light.

    Jesus and John the Baptist

    The Christmas story is an account of two births. Luke writes first of the miraculous birth of John the Baptist, and then of the birth of Jesus. Luke doesn’t place John the Baptist’s story first because it is more important. It is preparatory.  Elizabeth’s child would prepare the path for Mary’s Child. The lesser leads to the greater. Listen to the story of John and allow that to lead you to Jesus.
