How do I overcome guilt from my past sins? What does it mean to be saved? How do I know I’m saved? Making the most of your Salvation and finding confidence in your salvation is essential for living a joy filled life in Christ, and yet this joy seems to elude far too many Christians. Join host Ben Lowell and Bible teacher Dr. John Neufeld as they discuss overcoming guilt, evidence and confidence in your salvation, and the importance of knowing all its benefits for the follower of Christ. This is the beginning of a 3-week Q & A series with conversations based on the questions provided by our listeners and viewers. In future weeks we’ll discuss issues that surround the challenges of the church in our present times, questions about Christian leadership, what makes an authentic leader, what do we learn from those who have fallen, and finally a variety of questions involving heaven and hell, the trinity and much more.

As Dr. John speaks to questions from our listeners, today’s conversation is about elections and governmental authority. The relationship between the church and state has been a difficult one. It raises various concerns. “What if governments do not do what they ought to do; what is the Christian response? Should I simply vote for the person who professes faith? I know God establishes earthly authority but why would He use evil rulers?” Follow along as Dr. John responds to these current concerns.

Everyone will ask the question, “Why is there suffering and death?” The problem of sorrow can be a stumbling block towards faith. For believers it remains a struggle. The Bible doesn’t excuse Christians from the sting of grief. It’s not a problem that can be resolved simply from a textbook. In today’s episode, Dr. John will explore this question, not just as theory but from his own personal perspective. Our comfort lies in our God who knows death firsthand and has won the victory.
