More Blessed Than Mary

Dr. John Neufeld

The concluding episode in our series, ‘An Advent Celebration,’ answers an interesting question, are we more blessed than Mary? Is it possible that you and I might be even more blessed than Mary, the mother of Jesus? Is this what scripture is telling us? In Luke 11:28, Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

There is no greater blessing than hearing the word that Jesus spoke, and taking it to heart, and living out those principles. The greatest source of satisfaction came to us on Christmas day, but it only remains a concept until we internalize his word and allow him to teach us how to live. At that point in time, you’ll begin to know what satisfaction truly is.

    Born of a Virgin

As is true every Christmas, we once again celebrate the Christ child that by God’s grace entered into this world as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Saviour, God among us. The God of creation entered into his creation, in a way in which only God would do it. He did it miraculously. He did it in a way in which he charged nature itself to do his bidding. A Virgin conceived and gave birth to a son. In this second episode of “An Advent Celebration”, listen to inspirational music from Brian Doerksen as well as teaching from Dr. John Neufeld and discover the truth, the miracle and the significance of the virgin birth.

    Born a Saviour

In this episode, we discover the Saviour, the rescuer who would save us from our greatest oppressor, our own spiritual loss. Join Dr. Neufeld as he describes so many that would hear the good news that Jesus came to rescue those lost in their sin. “Fear not”, the angels said, “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
